Our Engineering Team received a shared credit for contributing to the Golden Gate Seismic Retrofit Project, awarded by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2007.

We also recognize engineers face challenges not related to science or technology. Our own proposal to repair San Francisco's Bay Bridge at a greatly reduced cost was rejected in the face of political pressure to build a new span.

BEAR supports civil engineers with the scientific know-how of multiple engineering disciplines that civil shops typically do not maintain in-house.

We offer assistance in creating effective solutions for a wide range of engineering concerns:

Mechanics and Materials. We frequently bring large scale mechanical engineering expertise to civil projects.

Materials, Materials, Materials. Which materials are used in your structures and how will they interact over time? Our expertise in materials science can point to long term maintenance needs.
